One project manager writes your scope, runs the job and answers the phone while it is running. The same person, from the first walkthrough to the last.
The drying company left. Now what?
Most people find us in the gap. Somebody extracted the water or boarded the roof, the fans went away, and the house is open, cut back to the studs, and unlivable. That second half is the part we do.
- Cut back and waitingThe drying or cleaning crew has gone, the walls are open, and you have been left to find somebody to put it back.
- Part built and stalledA rebuild started and stopped. We walk what is there, say what we would keep, and price finishing it.
- Nothing opened yetThe damage is there and nobody has cut into it, so nobody has told you how far it goes.

Why us for the second half
Reconstruction is a different business from mitigation
The company that dried your house out is good at an emergency. A rebuild is a project, and it is scoped, priced and run differently. We only do the second one.
-
We take the job in whatever state it is in
Cut back, part demolished, or part built by somebody who stopped. We walk what is actually there and price finishing it, rather than asking you to start again.
-
The scope is a document, not a number
Line by line, room by room, with the photographs behind it. That is what your adjuster works from, and it is what you hold us to when the job is running.
-
One project manager, start to finish
The person who wrote your scope runs the job and answers the phone. There is no handover to somebody who was not in the house on day one.
-

Four statutes, checkable in ten minutes
Four things California already gives you
You can check every line of this before you call anyone. It is the law, not our policy.
-
Your deposit is capped. No more than $1,000 or 10 percent of the contract price, whichever is less.
California Business and Professions Code 7159.5 -
You choose the contractor. Your insurer cannot require you to use theirs, and has to tell you so in writing before it recommends one.
California Code of Regulations, Title 10, 2695.9(b) -
You can cancel. Three business days on an ordinary contract, and seven where the damage came from a declared disaster.
California Business and Professions Code 7159 -
The last money comes on completion. Your insurer holds back the depreciation until the work is done, and you have at least twelve months to finish and collect it.
California Insurance Code 2051.5
We are a licensed general contractor and not a public insurance adjuster. Your claim stays between you and your insurer.

What it depends on
What moves the price of a rebuild
No honest contractor prices this from a phone call. These are the things that actually move the number, whichever of the three brought you here.
Where the number comes from
- How much material has to come out before anything goes back, which the demolition has usually already decided.
- Whether the structure itself is involved, because that brings permits and inspections with it.
- The finishes going back: matching what was there costs differently from changing it.
- Whether the repair that caused the damage belongs inside this scope or to another trade.
- How much of the untouched house has to be matched so the result reads as one house.
The spread on this work is wide enough that a price per square foot would be a guess dressed as information, so you will not find one here. The real number comes after somebody has walked the house.

Noam and his crew turned a flooding nightmare into a dream kitchen. When my townhouse bathroom flooded this summer, taking out the bathroom, the kitchen, dining room, AND the basement laundry, I had to make some quick decisions about all of those rooms and get it done in about 3 months. You know what's not fun? Emergency remodeling where you have to decide what you want in a couple of days for what you're going to have to live with for years. Noam's taste is impeccable and has great attention to detail: he will call to double check about what you want, give you options and the whys for each one. He and his crew were always prompt, courteous, and patient with explanations. I highly recommend.

Dave arrived immediately after our phone call. He gave a thorough explanation of the issue of the mold, checked around my house. He was very polite, soft spoken and directive as well as very professional over the phone and in person. His demeanor is pleasant and not-pushy like many I've came across dealing with construction Companies to assist with my homes issues. Thank you Dave.

If I could give this company 6 stars I would, they saved the day from day 1 and continued to save the day throughout our water evac, demo, reno, and a pandemic! Soly especially was our saving grace, providing excellent service, advice, marital counseling (lol) you name it! And on top of all that they did incredible work, listened to us, kept us on schedule. Everything you could ask for, they delivered!

Excellent work by this reconstruction/construction Company. We had white glove service by Idan!! He answers the phone when you call and discuss any concerns big and small. The estimate was close to the amount we paid at the finish of the job. The choice of tiles, backsplash, flooring and paint was nicely picked out for our kitchen and 2 bathrooms. We wanted to cut cost on certain things and he helped give us the best for the money. We had no complaints through the entire process and are highly recommending this business.

We contacted Green Planet Restoration after our home was broken into. The intruder shattered a window, hid in our gym room, and left blood on our equipment and belongings. It was late at night on a weekend, and after calling several other companies with no response, Green Planet was available and came out promptly. The representative and employees were very pleasant and professional. There was a discrepancy regarding the billing; however, they were very responsive and eager to help me understand the charges and resolve the issue. I truly appreciated their willingness to address my concerns. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of biohazard cleanup services.

We had a major flood in our downstairs and it took our house to the studs in several areas. I have a baby and a toddler and was so overwhelmed. Green Planet came out the same night the leak happened and from there they've held my hand through this entire (several Month) process. They've handled everything to help me with the insurance claim (huge relief), and while it's been a long process we've have SUCH a great Project Managers (Ezequiel and Shauloi) who has set clear expectations and checks in with me multiple times a week. We aren't quite finished yet but almost there and this whole process has been a lot! Green Planet has done an amazing job with communication as well as quality of work. Couldn't be happier with their help!

Green Planet did an amazing job, and contributed significantly to making a very trying situation easier on me and my family. After waking up to extensive water damage caused by the condo above us and a ruptured toilet, Green Planet was on the scene within hours. Denny and his team immediate began the drying process, packed out our possessions into storage, and scheduled waterlogged sections of our home for demolition. Once demolition was finished (on time!), Dekel and his crew took over for the rebuild. From working directly with insurance, helping us choose new flooring, tile, and paint colors and materials, fixing small details we pointed out, and dealing with the inevitable bumps in the road, Dekel's team made our condo look like new again. In all, the job was done well, smoothly, and as on time as can be expected when dealing with insurance companies. Having one company to work with from initial response to finished remodel was fantastic, and their staff were always very responsive to our questions and concerns. While we hope we never need Green Planet's emergency services again, they were a pleasure to work with.

I can't tell you how happy I am with my brand new kitchen. I was able to get everything that I wanted within a short period of time. From the day they started demolishing and repairing, installing and measuring, and painting and doing touchups, it took about two weeks. Dekel and his team were very sweet and accommodating to my needs. No one likes to drive out to my neck of the woods for repairs, but all of the guys always showed up to my house right on time and never complained about anything extra I requested for them to do. They actually did a lot more touchups than I expected them to and I was very pleased with their attention to detail. Dekel always answered my calls and calmed my nerves whenever I felt nervous about something, or other. This is actually the second time we've had to use this company for repairs in my home since there was not one, but two major leaks that occurred over the past year, and we had to file claims through our home insurance company. Along with the new upgrades and repairs, my husband and I decided to get all brand new appliances and that has made a huge difference, not only to how everything looks in the kitchen, but to how we were preparing food previously. Just know that you and your home are in good hands and you can trust the workers to do their job right, and thoroughly the first time. By the way, there is a woman by the name of Linor, on this team of contractors and she is the one who did all of the measurements for the cabinets in our kitchen. She is a very firm and precise business woman, who definitely made sure that our cabinets were done right. She uses a magical laser that takes precise measurements of the cabinets needed for your space and I still don't know how she did it, but everything came out to an exact matching point! Top notch.

Before you hire anyone
Questions worth asking any rebuild contractor
Money How much can you ask me for up front?
On a home improvement contract in California the down payment cannot exceed $1,000 or ten percent of the contract price, whichever is the smaller number. That is Business and Professions Code 7159.5, it applies to every licensed contractor in the state, and the contract has to say so in bold type. If anyone asks you for a third of the job before they start, that is the thing to check.
Scope The drying company already did the demolition. Will you still take it?
Yes, and that is most of what we do. Mitigation and reconstruction are two separate contracts, and the second one is frequently where a job stalls. We pick up from whatever state the house is in, walk it, and write the rebuild scope from what is actually open rather than from somebody else paperwork.
Insurance Do you deal with my insurance company?
We write and document our own repair scope and give you the photographs and the line items, so you and your adjuster are working from the same description of the job. We are a licensed general contractor and not a public insurance adjuster, so your claim stays between you and your insurer.
Insurance What if my insurer will not pay for part of the scope?
It happens, and it is better to find out before a wall closes than after. We price the full scope, show you what is in it, and mark anything we expect to be contested so you can decide early. Where you choose to leave something out, we say what that means for the rest of the work.
The company How do I know you were here before the fires?
Our licence is 1009639 and you can look it up on the Contractors State License Board site in about a minute, including the issue date. We have been rebuilding in Los Angeles for thirty years. Checking the issue date is a reasonable thing to do with any contractor who turned up after January 2025.
The work How long does a rebuild take?
It depends on the scope, the permits and how quickly the money is released, and any contractor who gives you a date before walking the job is guessing. California law names permit delays, material shortages and contractor availability as ordinary causes of overrun. We give you a schedule once we have seen what is open, and we tell you when it moves.
